Training Programme

The Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) training programme is a one-day online (specialist led) course.  All timings shown refer to UK time zone.

Course Overview:

This course is comprised of a one-day intensive online teaching led by a Laser specialist.  The course will extend your knowledge on LLLT and its applications, and lay the foundational expertise to help you use LLLT devices.  This course will cover the following:

  • Photobiomodulation
  • Understanding different applications of LLLT
  • Differentiating between types of LLLT devices
  • Understanding parameters of LLLT devices
  • Clinical application of LLLT
  • Safety considerations and counterindications

The course is hosted online, and accredited by the Institute for Bioenergetic Medicine.

Upon completion, you will receive a Certificate of Completion which signify that you have gained practical competency, safety knowledge, treatment planning skills, device handling confidence, and a foundational understanding of how low level lasers affect human tissue, all of which allow you to use LLLT safely and effectively in wellness or clinical settings.

Profits raised through the course will be donated to support clinical care in developing countries.

Eligibility criteria:

No formal qualifications are required to be eligible to attend this course.

While some elements of traditional needle acupuncture are briefly touched upon, to contextualise the understanding of Low level laser therapy, this course is designed to go straight into laser science and its application in the field of acupuncture rather than spending time teaching the basics of acupuncture or health sciences (e.g. anatomy, physiology etc.).

Therefore, prior training in or an understanding of acupuncture and/or health sciences would be an advantage.

If there are too many applicants for the course, priority will be given to those who come from a TCM/acupuncture background or health sciences/medical background.
